The frame of the IPS tent measures 84 inches long by 30 inches wide by 40 inches tall. Inside the tent, it measures 80 inches long by 26 inches wide by 37 inches tall. It can comfortably accommodate 1-person up to 6 ft 6 inches tall and will fit on any standard cot.
This tent includes a waterproof rainfly that can be used to enclose the tent in windy/wet conditions. The door of the tent is still accessible with the rainfly deployed.
The tent, rainfly, and poles can be carried in a nylon carrying bag that measures 17 inches long by 6 inches inches in diameter when packed and weighs 4.1 lbs.
The IPS tent can easily be set up by one person in under 2 minutes. The rain fly can be attached within 1 minute. It takes about 5 minutes to deconstruct the tent and pack it into the carrying bag.
The IPS Mosquito Net Tent is the newest addition to our collection of tents and is the tent we have selected to replace the Amberjack Free Standing tent and the Tropic Screen II tent, which are no longer manufactured. We tested over two dozen different tents and the IPS was our favorite by far. It works extremely well in hot and humid climates and the rainfly is very easy to attach in windy or wet conditions. Unlike most tents, the poles of the IPS are attached to the tent with durable clips instead of inserting the poles through sleeves. This makes it much, much easier for one person to set it up and it cuts the time it takes to set up by half. At 80 inches, it is very ideal for taller people and anyone up to 6ft 6in can stretch out in this tent comfortably. The only drawback of the IPS tent is that it is definitely a one-person only tent, as it is only 30 inches wide.
